If there is a sector where you cannot afford to play around with safety issues, it is lifting equipment!
This is why LIFTEUROP decided to produce lifting equipment and accessories under the STAS brand, with a reputation for excellence since 1953.
LIFTEUROP pays particular attention to the quality of its lifting products throughout the manufacturing process. This is very important for attracting new customers, and in this case suppliers. Strict rules govern the choice of handpicked suppliers. Each stage of production of lifting accessories complies strictly with the ISO 9001 quality management system and the standards in force, including the harmonised European standards and the machinery directive 2006/42/EC.
Quality controls are systematically performed at each stage of production.
Depending on the product and in compliance with the standards in force, LIFTEUROP has opted for either individual or batch traceability. Individual marking and a conformity certificate accompany each lifting accessory that leaves the LIFTEUROP factory.
Finally, LIFTEUROP provides assistance and advice to its customers during annual inspections of all their lifting accessories. These checks are performed either at the customer site or in the LIFTEUROP workshops. They can be validated by an external certification organisation. STAS-LIFTEUROP takes charge of any repairs required.
The lifting accessories produced by STAS-LIFTEUROP comply with the European machinery directive 2006/42/EC.
Since 29 December 2009, the European machinery directive 2006/42/EC has replaced the former machinery directive (98/37/EC). It stipulates that lifting accessories, chains, cables, hooks and rings, are subject to the same regulations as machinery.
In practice this means that:

RFID technology can be used to identify an item, track it and read its characteristics remotely by embedding an electronic chip that emits radio waves in the object.
It is possible to incorporate a chip, provided either by LIFTEUROP or by the user, into the LIFTEUROP range of lifting accessories.
If the customer opts for insertion of the LIFTEUROP chip, it will systematically contain the individual traceability code of the lifting accessory. Personalised information, requested by the user, such as the weight of the lifting accessory, date of the last control,… can be added to the chip.
