We often talk about product quality, WLL, compliance or traceability. This is essential. But in the field, the real risk does not always come from the equipment itself. It very often comes from its misuse.
This is precisely where the difference between controlled lifting and a dangerous situation comes into play.
At CODIPRO, safety is not limited to the design of the lifting ring. It is also based on a good understanding of the conditions of use. Technical training and the transmission of knowledge are also part of the pillars of the partnership, precisely to limit errors of use in the field.
The LSR (Lateral Swivel Ring) is designed to meet specific lifting needs. But like any lifting accessory, it does not tolerate any approximate interpretation or “more or less correct” assembly.
The wrong angle, wrong orientation, or effort applied in the wrong direction can compromise the safety of the operation, even with a high-quality product.

The load must not be applied crosswise to the lifting ring.
When the effort is not aligned with the intended work area, you create a non-compliant load. This increases mechanical stress and takes the accessory out of its normal use.

The LSR is not designed to work in reverse side loading. Some arrangements may seem acceptable when they are not. But when lifting, it’s not the appearance that counts. This is the real direction of the effort.

Respecting the lifting angle is not a theoretical detail. This is a condition of use. For an LSR, the maximum lifting angle is 120°. Beyond that, the ring is no longer used within the defined range, and the safety of the operation can no longer be approached with the same level of proficiency. The common mistake is to believe that a small overrun is tolerable. It is exactly this type of reasoning that creates incidents.
The true value of a lifting accessory is not only its manufacture, its finish or its conformity. It is also its ability to be well chosen, well assembled and well used. CODIPRO also provides technical support, training and digital tools to help its partners better promote and use its products.
When lifting, proper use is not a detail. That’s the basics.
