A wire rope sling provides the connection between the lifting device and the load to be handled. It is particularly suitable when mechanical strength, flexibility and reliability are required.
LIFTEUROP wire rope slings are assembled from components that comply with manufacturing drawings. Each wire rope length is carefully swaged in the LIFTEUROP workshops in accordance with applicable lifting standards. LIFTEUROP also focuses on high safety factors, good ergonomics in use and extensive stock availability to respond quickly to customer needs.
However, no two lifting operations are the same. This is why the range offers numerous configuration options.
Galvanised steel is one of the solutions offered by LIFTEUROP for its lifting wire ropes and slings.
The range includes various wire rope types and constructions, with different levels of flexibility to suit handling requirements. For example, LIFTEUROP offers extra-flexible galvanised 6 × 37 FC wire ropes.
Depending on the application, the slings can be fitted with eyes, thimbles and/or various end fittings, making it possible to create a lifting assembly suited to the load’s attachment points.
Certain applications require the use of stainless steel wire rope.
Stainless steel solutions make it possible to adapt the equipment to the specific constraints of certain environments or industrial processes.
A lifting operation does not always require the same number of lifting points.
For this reason, LIFTEUROP can offer lifting systems with 1 to 4 legs, in particular by adding a master link and suitable accessories.
The choice between a 1-, 2-, 3- or 4-leg sling depends in particular on the geometry of the load, its attachment points, its centre of gravity and the lifting conditions.
The objective remains the same: to achieve a configuration suited to the operation while ensuring safe and controlled handling.
Some loads have an off-centre centre of gravity or require the leg lengths to be adjusted.
For these situations, LIFTEUROP offers an adjustable 2-leg wire rope sling. It allows the leg lengths to be adjusted so that the system is positioned in line with the centre of gravity, helping to lift the load without tilting.
This solution is made from galvanised steel wire rope. Specific lengths and assemblies can be studied on request. Adjustment is achieved by passing the wire rope around a collar designed for this purpose.
A particularly useful solution when the geometry of the load requires greater precision during slinging.
The LIFTEUROP range also includes braided wire rope slings.
Made from several hand-braided galvanised steel wire ropes, they stand out for their high flexibility and wide contact area. They can notably be used in a basket hitch configuration.
To further increase the contact area between the sling and the load, LIFTEUROP offers braided versions with 6 or 8 ropes. Stainless steel versions are also available on request, as are endless braided versions.
The 6-rope “super-flexible” models also provide an increased contact area, with the option of specifying custom lengths and eye openings on request.
In addition to conventional slings with eyes or thimbles, the range also includes various endless wire rope slings designed for other lifting and slinging methods.
The LIFTEUROP catalogue includes endless models with or without ferrules, endless FLEXFORT solutions and endless braided slings.
This variety makes it possible to select the sling geometry best suited to the component and the type of handling operation.
When a load requires additional protection, LIFTEUROP offers the FLEXFORT range.
These slings consist of galvanised steel wire rope covered with vulcanised neoprene rubber, which is resistant to oils and greases in particular.

FLEXFORT slings can be made with eyes or thimbles, fitted with accessories and integrated into various configurations. For heavier loads, LIFTEUROP also offers the VIGORFLEX solution, consisting of a double galvanised steel wire rope protected by vulcanised neoprene.
The objective: to adapt not only the lifting capacity, but also the protection of the sling and the component to the actual conditions of use.
A wire rope sling is more than just the wire rope itself.
Depending on the lifting points and load configuration, various lifting accessories can complete the assembly: head rings, hooks, shackles and other components suited to the operation.
LIFTEUROP also offers these accessories in stainless steel; grade 80 or grade 100 versions are available on request.
