In handling and lifting operations, load control is a central issue. When a suspended piece needs to be tilted, oriented or positioned precisely, it is essential to be able to act on its balance safely.

The load balancer allows the center of gravity of a suspended load to be precisely positioned, making it easier to tilt and rotate. The result: handling becomes smoother, safer and significantly more comfortable for operators.

In many industrial sectors, some parts cannot be handled efficiently with a simple standard lifting device. Their shape, length, asymmetry or mass distribution require more precise control. The load balancer then provides a concrete response by allowing the user to correct the load posture and optimize its handling.

An essential function: adjusting the position of the center of gravity

The main advantage of the load balancer is its ability to precisely adjust the position of the center of gravity of the part being lifted. This feature is especially useful when the charge needs to be:

  • inclined to be positioned correctly to facilitate the insertion of certain loads such as gearboxes, engines, etc.
  • turned to facilitate an assembly operation,
  • oriented in a confined space,
  • stabilized despite an irregular weight distribution.

By acting on the balance of the suspended load, the balancer improves the precision of the gestures and reduces the effort required to guide the workpiece. The operator thus benefits from a more flexible and better controlled handling.

Enhanced safety throughout the handling process

Beyond accuracy, the load balancer plays a major role when it comes to safety. An improperly balanced load can cause sudden movements, unplanned rotations or dangerous tipping. These situations pose a significant risk to people, equipment and the working environment.

One of the key strengths of the load balancer is the safe locking of the position, even when the load is tilted. This feature reliably maintains the selected position during the lifting or handling operation, thus limiting the risk of sudden imbalance and ensuring better control of the workpiece.

In addition to making the operation safer, the load balancer relieves the operator of the weight of the tool or the load handled, which helps to reduce drudgery and preserve ergonomics at the workplace.

A versatile tool, designed for multiple configurations

A true Swiss Army knife of lifting, the load balancer is also distinguished by its great ability to adapt to the constraints of the field and the specific needs of users.

It can be configured with several standard chain diameters, depending on the CMU needed. This modularity makes it possible to adapt the equipment to the characteristics of the load to be lifted, while guaranteeing a high level of safety.

The upper part can also be adapted to the customer’s desired interface. Depending on the operating environment, the balancer can be equipped with, for example:

  • a head ring for a grip by bridge hook;
  • a clevis for insertion on a rudder;
  • or other interfaces adapted to the existing installation.

The ends of the chains are also configurable according to the intended use. They can be fitted with various accessories such as hooks, shackles or swivels, in order to best meet handling requirements and the specificities of the loads.
